David Corporon
Commissioner David Corporon is a fictional character and an ally of Superman that appears in comic books published by DC Comics. The character first appeared in ''Superman'' #4 (February 2012), and was created by writer George Pérez and artist Jesus Merino. The character, however fictional, is based on a real person that George has been friends with for a number of years. David Corporon (the real person (same name)) is the co-owner of Coliseum of Comics in the Seminole Towne Center Mall in Sanford, Florida. This is the shop that George Perez frequents and often does signings at.
==Fictional character biography==
In the current version of the ''Superman'' mythos, Corporon is depicted as the Commissioner of the Metropolis Police Department. Corporon shares Superman's steadfast determination to rid Metropolis of crime and considers Superman his partner in this crusade. Further information on the character's back story will be revealed in later issues.
